Surf's Up

Dude! Penguins march, tap dance, and now they surf. Young Cody Maverick (LaBeouf) is an outcast among his peers with his surfer dreams. He follows a scout to the tropical Pen Gu Island, the home of a championship contest, and finds a mentor in laid-back legend Big Z (Bridges). Cody even gets a much more competent potential love interest in lifeguard Lani (Deschanel). Sidekick Chicken Joe (Heder) provides some diversion. Not ground-breaking in the animation department (although the look of the waves is impressive), but the story is fun and the vocal work just right.
