Third in the franchise brings nothing fresh to the table except a new location, Paris, for Chan and Tucker's wacky culture clash schtick. After the attempted murder of the Chinese ambassador (Ma), the two travel to Paris to track the assassin, protect his daughter, and make a bunch of jokes that constantly refer back to the previous, better entries in the series. Chan and Tucker still have chemistry but director Ratner doesn't give them much to work with. The fight scenes seem slowed-down, shorter, and less fun, and even the standard end-of-movie blooper reel is a yawn. Roman Polanski cameos as a particularly nasty French commissioner.
