Upper middle class high school student Aubrey Fleming (Lohan) goes missing. Her distraught parents (Ormond and McDonough) cooperate with the police but have little insight into the disappearance. When Aubrey's found beside a rural road near death and mutilated in the M.O. of a local serial killer, the case seems pretty simple, until Aubrey awakes and thinks she's actually stripper Dakota Moss, who is the subject of a story Aubrey was writing for a class. Flashbacks, dream sequences and semi-plausible cinematic gimmicks bring this to a tidy conclusion, with unfortunate results. With her career in shambles, this might be your last chance to see Lohan (outside a courthouse) for a while.
