Waking Up Wally
Innocuously-told true story based on hockey dad Walter Gretzky (McCamus), whose debilitating brain aneurysm made him forget, among other things, his famous son Wayne's (Holden-Reid) sports achievements. The family struggles through rehabilitation as Walter's lack of short-term memory leads to frustration before he (and they) can accept his limitations. Based on the memoir "Walter Gretzky: On Family, Hockey and Healing."
