Smokin' Aces
Exhaustingly convoluted guy flick from Carnahan has sleazy nightclub magician Buddy "Aces" Israel (Piven) willing to turn FBI snitch on the Nevada mob. Naturally, the head gangster puts out a hit, attracting all sorts of other violent lowlifes, while the feds ineffectually protect Buddy in a sleazy Lake Tahoe penthouse suite. Lots of flash--lots of violence--no payoff (or maybe one too many). Like its location, it's stylish but empty.

This is a total waste of time.
I seen the previews and thought this would be good
and when I saw it,I almost fell asleep.
Boy what a cast of weirdos. If you like guns then this film is for you. Theres lots of people getting shot, people shooting at stuff, and the obligatory nudity, drugs etc. I felt like this movie could of been so much more. It was hard to follow and I had to watch it a few times to understand it better.
