Same shriek, different day. Hospitalized in Japan after her last ordeal, Karen (Gellar in a cameo) kills herself in front of her horrified sister Aubrey (Tamblyn). Naturally, Aubrey now wants to discover what lead her sis to suicide, which involves those weird mother-child demons and a haunted house best left alone. It's creepy, but lacks new ideas since writer-director Shimizu sticks to his formula, which has served him through four "Ju-On" flicks and two American remakes.
