Come Early Morning
Lucy Fowler (Judd) lives two lives in her Arkansas community: she's very efficient at her day contractor job while raising hell as a hard-drinking, one-night-stand kinda gal in the evening. Maybe she's just emulating her womanizing, alcoholic pop (Wilson). Courtly newcomer Cal (Donovan) refuses to let her use him and leave, but even Cal may not be able to overcome Lucy's self-destructiveness. Adams does well with her slice-of-life tale--her writing/directing debut--as does surrogate Judd (Adams once intended to play the lead herself).
