Invincible

True-ish story of not-quite over-the-hill South Philly substitute teacher and part-time bartender Vince Papale (Wahlberg), who gives it a go when new Philadelphia Eagles coach Dick Vermeil (Kinnear) holds open tryouts. Of course the otherwise down-and-out Papale makes the team, much to the delight of his football-crazy buds and the dismay of other players. Papale's on-screen gridiron accomplishments are a Disneyfied exaggeration of his real-life experience, but just try not to root for another underdog sports hero. Exceptional cinematography and cool soundtrack make up for any schmaltz.
