Changing Times

Sucessful engineer Antoine (Depardieu) has spent the last three decades pining for Cecile (Deneuve), the love of his life, who left France for Morocco more than 30 years ago, and has since moved on with her life. Antoine volunteers for a job in Tangiers and promptly tracks down Cecile (and her much younger doctor-husband) in order to win her back, as he informs them both. Layers of heady complications follow, including the appearance of Cecile's son, who drops by with his girlfriend despite his being gay, Cecile's own deteriorating marriage, and cultural clashes between French and Moroccan characters and their values. Pic is a reunion of French legends Deneuve, Depardieu and director Andre Techine and will appeal to Francophiles and probably few others.
