Monster House

Artistically and effectively creepy outing from executive producers Zemeckis and Spielberg is just the second film to utilize stop-motion animation (their "Polar Express" was the first). Halloween-worthy story follows a trio of kids who investigate the neighborhood haunted house, which devours anything or anyone who gets too close. State-of-the-art technique allows animated characters, including the house, to show emotion and expression while excellent voice work from the likes of Buscemi and Gyllenhaal lend real human talent to the eye-popping visual technology.
