This predictable plot (small town girl with big city dreams) gets an extra half-bone for Streep's sleek boss-from-hell. That would be Miranda Priestly, high priestess editor of the Manhattan fashion mag where wide-eyed Andy (Hathaway) is hired as a second assistant. A walking fashion faux pas, Andy slowly loses her ideals (and frumpy appearance) to the beguilement of power and designer trends. Can she be saved? Hathaway struggles to hold her own (she has the least showy role) against both Streep and the scene-stealing Tucci. Based on the chick lit book by Lauren Weisberger.

I read the book and saw the move, both great. The movie differs from the book (I actually suggest seeing the movie first!). I really enjoyed it:) Lots of paws for this one. Woof!
