It took 14 years for a sequel and this glossy, laughably overwrought mess is what we get? Stone tries too hard reprising her role as cold-blooded vamp Catherine Tramell, who's now living in London. After a fatal car crash, suspicious Scotland Yard detective Washburn (Thewlis) asks criminologist Michael Glass (Morrissey) to evaluate Catherine for possible criminal charges. His diagnosis is "risk addiction." Gee, doc, no kidding. Soon Michael is drawn into Catherine's possibly deadly web. Maybe this effort will become a midnight movie, just waiting to be mocked.
