Peculiar film-within-a-film follows Brit comedian Coogan playing an exaggerated version of "Steve Coogan" as he takes the title role in the filming of the eccentric 18th-century novel "The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy." Insecure and vain, Coogan annoys the director (Northam) and screenwriter (Hart), while childishly sparring with his primary co-star (Brydon) and ignoring his visiting girlfriend (Macdonald) and their baby. Best for Coogan fans or those interested in movie minutia.
