Saraband
Bergman's final film has his "Scenes From a Marriage" (1974) characters reuniting after a 30-year separation. When Marianne (Ullman) visits Johan (Josephson) she finds he is still bitter and full of hatred, which is geared mostly toward his son Henrik (from another marriage) and granddaughter Karin who live in his guest house. When Karin is provided an opportunity to study music in Helsinki, an emotional confrontation comes to a head. Exceptional swan song.
