After three years of fighting, the Clone Wars are finally ending; the Jedi dispatch Obi-Wan (McGregor) to bring General Grievous to justice; Supreme Chancellor Palpatine (McDiarmid) seeks to consolidate power and bring Anakin Skywalker (Christensen) to the dark side (thus turning him into Darth Vader); the Republic is transformed into the Galactic Empire and the last of the Jedi go into hiding. The end chapter of Lucas' prequel trilogy is appropriately dark, with Lucas's trademark great battle scenes (especially Anakin and Obi-Wan going at it) and at times laughable dialogue and direction. Wraps some elements up neatly, but leaves some major logic holes as well.

The last made film of the legendary Star Wars brings great hopes, that will be full filled. Don't forget to take some ice cream or popcorn, because once you start watching there's no stopping. Prepare yourself for a film of an epic battle between good and evil.

The main reason I enjoyed this movie was to see the birth of Darth Vader. Again the choice of Hayden Christensen as the role of Anakin was not much to be enjoyed. Overall the movie was better than Ep1 and 2 and gave a convincing tie to the Classic Trilogy.
