Dumped as a college basketball coach after his usual sideline histrionics lead to the demise of an opposing team's avian mascot, Roy McCormick (Lawrence) decides to accept his old middle school's offer to take over their woeful team. From there, the tired, warm and fuzzy sports tale plays out as hard-nosed Roy becomes a softy while fashioning the losing squad into winners and finding love, too. Lawrence curbs his customary foul language for this family flick.
