Uptight junior banker Harold (Cho) and his laid-back med student pal Kumar (Penn) take the edge of encroaching adulthood by getting high. A lot. One such session produces cravings for White Castle hamburgers and sets the pair on a convoluted quest, despite Harold's need to finish an important work project. The journey is complicated by broken down vehicles, side trips for weed, creepy tow-truck drivers, skateboard punks, over-enthusiastic cops, and a hilariously Ecstacy-fueled Neil Patrick Harris. The pair's odd-couple chemistry helps smooth over the more ridiculous plot twists, and the target audience, properly medicated, should enjoy themselves long after the final credits have rolled.

This movie shows that even smart guys enjoy having "hobbies"... It's a coming-of-age classic that needed to be made; sort of the Animal House of the 2000s. Who can forget Freakshow and Liane? Let's hope the upcoming sequel is as good. Harold needs a chance to win over Maria, his love interest from Part 1...
