Intriguing based-on-real-events story of Pablo Hernandez (Nebot), an illegal immigrant who came to southern California after losing everything except his six-year-old daughter, Cristina (Rendon), during 1998's Hurricane Mitch in Honduras. After Pablo unintentionally mows down a well-to-do young girl with a borrowed truck, the pair is on the run with Soid (Price), a struggling journalist who agrees to aid the desperate man in exchange for filming the getaway. Along with playing the lead role, Nebot also co-wrote and makes his debut as co-director.
