Move Over, Darling

Remake of 1938's "My Favorite Wife" has widower Garner having his wife Ellen (Day) declared legally dead five years after a plane crash. He remarries, only to have Ellen turn up on his mother's doorstep. Turns out she was stranded on a desert island for those years, and she wasn't alone. Fluffy but enjoyable Day vehicle is the second attempt to remake "Wife," after the ill-fated "Something's Gotta Give," the film Marilyn Monroe was working on when she died. Garner and Day are fine, but are often upstaged by the excellent supporting cast.
