After police detective Lucinda Pond (Tripplehorn) screwed up and let a killer get away, she left the force to run a fishing boat and start drinking. Ex-partner/lover Travis (Orser) shows up when his current homicide case turns out to be identical to the incident that ended Lucinda's career. She unofficially agrees to help but solving the case may lead her close to home and her crazy brother Ellis (Nemec).
