Army brat Johnny (Bradford) dreams of being an auto racing champion. So he runs away from his home in California determined to make it to North Carolina and get a job with driver Richard Petty's crew. At a stop in Vegas, naive Johnny gets robbed and comes to the attention of seasoned hustler Eric (Brower) who offers to teach Johnny the ropes. Johnny agrees but will only deal with women clients--while the gay Eric falls in love with the new kid in town.
