Cliched and crass college comedy of suave coed Van Wilder (Reynolds) who gets cut off by his dad (Matheson, in a nice bit of ironic casting), who realizes his son's seven college years have not yielded a degree. The universally adored, high-profile, frat house toastmaster then uses his charm to helps fund his education by helping the underprivileged undergrads meet women and have fun—for a price, of course. A circus of gross-out jokes and sight gags that would make the Farrelly brothers blush ensue. Reid is typically vapid as the lackluster Lois Lane college reporter and love interest. An unrated version is also available.
