Well-done fact-based drama follows the case of a triple murder-for-hire and the First Amendment issues the case raised. When Lawrence Horn (McDaniel) hires a man (Johnson) to kill his family, it's discovered that said killer used a book called "Hot Man: A Technical Manual for Independent Contractors" to plan the crime. Lawyer Siegel (Rifkin) brings in First Amendment expert Rod Smolla (Hutton) to sue the publisher for abetting the murder.
