Excellent documentary tells the story of Detroit Tiger Hall of Fame first baseman Hank Greenberg though interviews with sportswriters, teammates, other players of the era, and fans (many of which were young Jewish boys who later became famous themselves), and archival footage from on and off the field. Details Greenberg's struggles as a high-profile Jew in a very anti-Semitic era and as a hero and source of inspiration to the Jewish community. Also does a fine job of exploring the settings (New York and Detroit during the '20s and '30s) in which Greenberg grew up and rose to stardom.
