Cassandra (Davis) is a translator, working in Barcelona, who gets caught up in the volatile relationship between transsexual Frankie (Harden) and her estranged female lover Ben (Taylor), who is now involved with hippie April (Lewis). It seems that Frankie and Ben also share a daughter and a custody fight is brewing that Cassandra doesn't want to get caught up in. On the other hand, all the melodrama is making her life quite interesting. Based on a novel by Barbara Wilson.
