Chasing Sleep

College prof. Ed Saxon (Daniels) worries when his wife doesn't return from work. The cops find her car but that's all. Meanwhile, pill-popping insomniac Ed discovers his wife's diary, which reveals she was having an affair with a neighbor. Then he keeps having to deal with strange household plumbing problems. Ed becomes increasinly disoriented, so is he hallucinating the whole thing or has something terrible really happened? Daniels gives an effective off-center performance but the story loses its momentum.
