Crossfire

A true VHS gem in the action extravaganza vein about the Statue Of Liberty and lisps and sign language. It made the austere claim that half of humanity came from Ellis Island. Although occasionally forgetting which leg is limpy and blatantly throwing away lines, Cox has to be applauded for doing his own stunts including a somersault and driving a little kid's dirt bike through break-away glass at an astonishing 4 miles an hour. There isn't much else to say. There are blatant racist caricatures and really big plot holes. My friend Matt and I laughed about it mostly but it's sobering to witness a group of people work so hard without once asking themselves why. The line "take that kung fu #!@%*# back to China" is pretty good.
