Goofy, low-budget indie comedy whose pieces don't quite fit together. Set in Providence, R.I., talentless would-be singers Sam (Rockwell) and Eddie (Zahn) are mistaken by the local Jewish mafia for a couple of expert safecrackers. The inept duo are pressured by Big Fat Bernie Gayle (Lerner) and his henchman Veal Chop (Giamatti) to break into the home of Bernie's rival, Good Stuff Leo (Fierstein). Some dumb luck and a lot of coincidence work in the guys favor. But then the real safecracking team turns up.
