Tierney, in a departure from her usual roles, is excellent as this pathologically possessive creature. Oscar-winner Leon Shamroy's photography (in Technicolor) is breathtaking. I remember viewing this film years ago. The cinematography was spectacular. I've never seen shadows with such vibrant color. A masterpiece. I want to get into my watercolors again. Tierney is frightful!
