Insecure Natalie (Reeves) is newly married to wealthy and garrulous entrepreneur Sinclair (Rickman) when she reunites with her long-estranged younger brother, Richard (Owen). Richard has just taken a job as a city planner in London and is suddenly Natalie's confidante and soon much more. The simmering sexual tension between the two finally explodes into a volatile relationship that becomes an obsession to Richard. And when Natalie decides to break off their affair, he's determined to stop her. Reeves's character is somewhat whiny and unappealing so it's up to the men to carry the movie, which they do with aplomb.
