A stunning, unsettling chiller, based loosely on a real case and the bestseller by Bari Wood and Jack Geasland. Irons, in an excellent dual role, is effectively disturbing as the twin gynecologists who descend into madness when they can no longer handle the fame, fortune, drugs, and women in their lives. Bujold is the actress/patient bedded by both brothers but jealouly loved by Beverly. Acutely upsetting film made all the more so due to its graphic images and basis in fact.
