After being sued by the city for the damages they did in the original "Ghostbusters," the boys in khaki are doing kiddie shows at birthday parties. When a river of slime that is actually the physical version of evil is discovered running beneath the city, the Ghostbusters are back in action. They must do battle with a wicked spirit in a painting or the entire world will fall pray to its ravaging whims. Murray is the highlight of this serviceable sequel, although MacNicol gives him a good run as the painting's henchman.

All the purists go for the original, and I can respect that..but for me this was the one to watch-- had the classic lines, the very cool villian (and his dopey sidekick), they gave Moranis more to do (Granted he was much more amusing to watch as Vince the dog), and it was cool to see the progression of these guys after saving the city and getting blacklisted as frauds.
Aykroyd,Murray,Ramis--all in their prime at this point.
Great flick.
