Old West tales of cowboys, Indians, the Cavalry, steely-eyed gunslingers, square-jawed sheriffs, cattle drives, shoot-outs, gold rushes, wagon trains, and the opening of the Frontier, back when horses and trains were the preferred modes of transportation. Depending on the era, the cowboys either sing or sulk, though not normally in the same movie.
