True Stories
Movie adaptations of real-life events…like a documentary with a screenwriter, special effects, and a more attractive cast. Similar to documentaries in that they start with a true story, usually a person doing something remarkable or an extraordinary event. Different than documentaries in that they replace those people with actors and the events with something vaguely resembling what really happened. These are the films that really encompass the true stories genre.
