Very few caper films can reach the level of sophisticated intelligence that The Thomas Crown practically oozes in every scene. The movie is clever, witty, and features strong performances from Brosnan (as the titular thief) and Russo (as the cynical woman simultaneously trying to love and apprehend Crown). The two main actor's chemistry is great. The plot takes its time, to be sure, but is never uninteresting (and is, for the most part, exciting and involving).

As the public continues to argue over whether this film was miscast I will go and see it for a second time in the theater. This was one of very few movies in my lifetime that had me smiling from opening credits to closing credits.Toe tapping and very enjoyable.Julie Walters and Christine Baranski were the perfect addition to this cast and their performances alone make this movie worth seeing.
Buy the soundtrack, skip the movie.

My friend begged me to go. Yes, I knew I was going to see a musical. But really - can they please get through ONE conversation without bursting into song? Just one? The film seemed horribly miscast to me - the movie makers obviously wanted to say, "Hey Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan are in our movie." Too bad they seemed awkward and uncomfortable - let's face it - Meryl Streep is no Dancing Queen.
Brosnan and Kinnear are Great

Great, darkly humorous story (pretty well summed up above) about an aging hitman who thinks he is losing his edge. Kinnear and Brosnan work really well together, as the naive businessman 'Danny Boy' (Kinnear) meets the raunchy, uncouth, yet somehow likable Julian (Brosnan).
Great atmosphere in Mexico City at the bullfights. This movie will make you laugh and may even touch your heart. Short and sweet at 90 minutes running time.
We actually watched this one on a plane (trapped at midnight!) and laughed so hard we cried at the predictable and horrible plot. Tick off everyone who doubted the know-it-all scientist, and watch the paybacks in this one!
