This is one of the greatest(And better)movies based on Nicholas Sparks' books. It would've been better if Kelly Clarkson played Jamie Sullivan rather than Mandy Moore.

....when a friend suggested this I thought they were crazy. I don't want to watch a movie about a catholic high school. I was SO wrong! Fresh! Funny! So VERY entertaining - and I swear I've met each one of these characters in my life! Good time! Watch for Susan Sarandon's daughter as the only Jewish student in this catholic high school - definitely has her mother's comedic timing :)

I thought this was a great movie, regardless of whether one watches American Idol or not. Very clever and witty. The Omer storyline was brilliant..."You've been Omerized!"
