Our First Look at the Genius of Fincher

Of course this movie has its problems. But knowing now how it was made, I find it a fascinating study into the genius of David Fincher. It's amazing how this first-time feature film director dealt with a script that wasn't even written yet, constant studio interference, and myriad other problems, and turned out an atmospheric movie that almost works. Visually, this thing is great. (Of course, it doesn't hold a candle to its two predecessors, but I don't think that's Fincher's fault.) It's too bad Fincher totally disowned the movie (though who can blame him). I'd love to hear a commentary track from him on this thing.
