Pirates are returning. This great movie lied in the hands of Gore Verbinski and he didn't mess it up. A film full of adventure, treachery, piracy, amazing battles and victory.
A Witty Crass Satire.

I sure hope this is not how international politics transpire, but there is probably some truth to it. In the Loop is a satirical comedy set during the build up to the Iraq war. A culture class between London and Washington political insiders based on a BBC television series: The Thick of it.
I found the film to be mostly unpleasant; there simply were almost no enjoyable characters. Besides Tom Hollanders funny, sincerely witty performance as British Minister Simon Foster, I was put off by the crassness and unlikable characters. Raging politicians and the constant passive aggressiveness was off-putting. I couldn?t connect with their motivation. I can understand the bigger picture about the rush to war, the twisting and spinning of words and documents. The almost pointless vulgarities turned me against the film.
In The Loop has some genuine laugh, mostly at the expense of the down on his luck Simon Foster, the writing amusing and quite clever. I didn?t connect with its message or is comedy, felt to satirical to be taken at face value on its message on the war, and to harsh and crass to be deeply humorous.
Jane Austin is modern

This was one of my favorite movies at one time but I found out that the reason I liked it so much was because I was going through a hard time and I felt like I knew how Elizabeth in the movie felt. It spoke to me! Haha. Yes Jane Austin can right the realistic and this movie does her book justice.
I encourage you to watch more of "her" films. There extremely good.
There is only two reasons to watch this film... 1) if you are so utterly bored, and 2) if you are a fan of Orlando Bloom or Johnny Depp. The movie never should of been made. The worst part is the end, it sets itself up so that some moron could very well continue the Pirates saga if they had enough cash to throw around.
If you have never seen the previous Pirates film this movie would seem disjointed at best. Its clearly set up as filler for the 1st and last movies. It is far better than the 3rd movie in the series, however not as good as the first. Main reasons to see the film are if you are like me, a fan of Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom. They both really carried the film and are imho, the best actors of all 3 films in this trilogy.
