Underwhelming viewpoint

This is one of my favorite "bad" movies if you will. I don't watch it to be enlightened. I watch it for Godzilla, the ramifications of radiological and scientific screwups, and Jean Reno. My only complaint, after repeated viewings was Big Z was shown. You saw his feet too many times, especially when he first attacks NYC. Just show his feet a couple times. Show his entirety more like the Japanese. That's why he's imposing
All false truths and historical inaccuracies aside, The DaVinci Code is a well-made and fast-paced thriller that will certainly be remembered (if not only for the controversy it caused). Concerning the controversial nature of the plot, I think it's important to keep in mind what Roger Ebert said: "Yes, the plot is absurd, but then most movie plots are absurd. That's what we pay to see." If you take it as pure entertainment, the film is an enjoyable and exciting (not to mention arguably classic) adventure.
Small budget feel, but interesting

This movie isn't a spectacular, big budget hit (think Pearl Harbor), but the story is told well and the CGI is decent. I think the African-American pilot's character is based on the story of Eugene Bullard - a real-life hero who flew for France. It's a worthwhile rental.
