Wonderfully entertaining

Not as bold as 'Inception' or as relevant as 'The Social Network," but just as worthy in its own way. Propelled by endearing performances and an interesting true-life story, this is among the most enjoyable films of 2010.

Pirates Gathering

Pirates are returning. This great movie lied in the hands of Gore Verbinski and he didn't mess it up. A film full of adventure, treachery, piracy, amazing battles and victory.

Fine Performances, Routine Drama

Two young lovers are binded by drug addiction, one tries to break away and the other falls behind. Sound familiar? It's been done many times before, with drugs and alcohol ("Days of Wine and Roses," etc.). What makes this one worthwile are the sincere, touching performances by Abbie Cornish and Heath Ledger.

He will make star in amazement and laugh. You wonder if some of his lines were meant to be said the way he says them and think about how weird he makes captain jack. He alone is a good reason to watch it.

Should of never been made

There is only two reasons to watch this film... 1) if you are so utterly bored, and 2) if you are a fan of Orlando Bloom or Johnny Depp. The movie never should of been made. The worst part is the end, it sets itself up so that some moron could very well continue the Pirates saga if they had enough cash to throw around.

Underrated Coen flick
Reviewed by CoolerKing for Intolerable Cruelty at 2008-04-04 10:19:51
The Coens always get crap for their comedies not living up to Raising Arizona, but really what can? Ladykillers WAS lacking, but Intolerable Cruelty is really, really fun. Fantastic goofball turn by Clooney, sharp as a razor dialogue, and the death of Wheezy Joe is a cinematic classic. Great movie.

You will fall asleep

The worst part of this movie is that the first Pirates was so good. The contrast makes it that much more painful.
