Idiotic, but fun.

The film has extraordinary visuals, but it's still a mindless (albeit entertaining) popcorn flick. Nothing more, nothing less.

300 Stars for 300

The movie 300 is all about a few men (300) facing thousands (the enemy) against overwhelming odds. Courage, duty, honor, and loyalty to the nth degree mixed with some great special effects, good screen play, and a plot based on history equals a movie to own. I liked the sepia/color artistic flair that the movie was filmed in too. There's an ogre battle scene that will chill you to the bone. It will have you returning to your scene selection screen time and time again.

Rob Zombie's Halloween II: RIP halloween franchise
Reviewed by jawbreaker for Halloween II at 2009-09-10 11:14:53
This movie is a complete waste of money, time and thought. I honestly think Rob Zombie cannot manage to make a movie without his beloved wife Sheri Moon. I kept getting this film confused with Friday the 13th. Micheal's mother was never the reason behind his killings so why would it start in the second movie?! The more answers you give on the motive of the killings, the less they are feared. Rob ~robbed~ the mystery behind the mask, and robbed the fear of the mask away. The story line is worthless. Micheal is walking thousands of miles to get back to Haddonfield, following Rob's wife in a white dress leading a white horse and the boy version of Micheal. Micheal is chasing his sister "laurie aka Angel" who seems to be more of an emotional brat than a heroine. What were you thinking ROB?! were you actually thinking during this movie? watching this movie is like driving nails through your eye lids forcing your brain to watch this pathetic excuse of a halloween sequel! the only save point was the hospital killing of the nurse. overall, no thumbs up, I cut them off and rammed them in my eyes to prevent further damage by this pitiful movie!

Halloween 2007 Review
Reviewed by kklmfao for Halloween at 2009-08-29 02:50:42
The 2007 version of the most sucessful horror franchise will blow you away from beginning to end. It is a prequel of the very first Halloween movie. The movie starts off with the myers in a disturbing way that young micheal myers used to live. (no wonder hes the way he is). It comes on just like the oringinal one did. He escapes and looks for his baby sister Laurie Stroude. He soon tracks her down along with her very naughty friends. She baby sits and then he stats his knife-weilding ways. Laurie tries to escape

Great Movie

I disagree. I think that Snyder is in a no-win situation here. As mentioned, to make a film replicating the entire Watchmen series would be 4 hours ? at least. The alternative was to ?interpret? the series and make it more watchable for people who have never read the book. Of course, had he done this, fans would be enraged that he had prostituted Alan Moore?s masterpiece just to make it ?Hollywood?. Instead, he stuck as closely to the story as he could, crammed as much as possible in under 3 hours and produced what I?m sure most fans would agree, is a pretty great homage to one of the best graphic novels written. Seeing almost exact images from the book translated to the big screen was a thrill and I thought they did a great job. I thought the cast portrayed the ?feel? of the book very well. While the sex scene may have been a bit overdone I thought the overall relationship was just as believable in the movie as it was in the book. Haley played Rorchach to perfection and Patrick Wilson made a good Dan Dreiberg. Having said that, I?m curious to see how people who have never read the book will take this movie. Personally, I think that without the benefit of reading the book and having the entire back story, the movie wouldn?t be nearly as enjoyable. I don?t think this works well as just a standalone movie the way other comic book movies do ? you don?t need to read a Batman comic to enjoy ?The Dark Knight?. As a big fan of the book and of Alan Moore?s work I thought this was a great movie and I can?t wait to see the longer director?s cut.

Ultimate Guy Movie
Reviewed by DDDDC84 for Doomsday at 2008-07-30 17:11:36
Doomsday stands as the ultimate guy movie. Of course it doesn't beat classics like The Godfather or Braveheart but it has every single thing a guy could want in a movie. You have a very attractive young actress as the lead roll and she has something unique about her that makes her an awesome hero. You have a post apocoliptic world with amazing fight scenes, car chases and gun battles. And you have a Mid-evil world where you have jousting and sword fights. Dont worry it all makes sense in the movie, and no their time travel. The acting and the way the movie ended couldve been better but if you looking to kick back have some beer and watch a fun movie this is your pick.
