VideoHound should have it's nose rubbed in it's review and put in the doghouse. Yes Rocky 4 is short on plot and isn't an Oscar winning film (although the original Rocky won best picture in 1976), but it exceeds where it means to. By this time Rocky is a middle aged boxer who is nearing the end of his career and contemplating hanging up the gloves. But before he can do that disaster strikes (watch the movie) and send him on a collision course with a steroid induced super Russian boxer. Rocky shouldn't win this fight but will his training and heart get him to where he needs to be? Who doesn't love an underdog story where the underdog comes out on top? If you want to watch a feel good action movie that motivates you to do a few push ups then watch this movie.
Thank god the mechanical shark worked so poorly. This is an early example of what an action/adventure/suspense film should be. Plus its one of my Dad's faves so it holds sentimental value for me.
