An honest cop (Seagal) is targeted for assassination just when he's on the verge of exposing the corrupt actions of a local politician. He and his wife are shot and left for dead, but he miraculously survives. After seven years in a coma he goes on a rampage of revenge incorporating both fire power and bone-crunching aikido techniques. The story is ridiculousness, but the film seem to be very much aware of it's own goofiness and it's refreshing to see Seagal not taking himself too seriously. The action scenes are top-notch.

Surprisingly enough, I actually liked this little Disney remake--of course, I've never seen the original, but still.. It's almost charming in its own cutesy syrupy way. As per usual, Danny Glover elevates this film, and Tony Danza almost turns in a credible performance(Translation: He doesn't ruin the movie..how about that?)
If you need to revel in early 90's live action Disney nostalgia, go ahead, sit through this thing.
