Shakespearean actor, Edward Lionheart (Price) had supposedly committed suicide after his performance is harshly ridiculed by snobbish critics. Later, the critics begin to die in a variety of gory ways, strangely reminiscent of Shakespeare's work. Fun horror/comedy that is not to be missed (and I'm not just saying that on the off-chance that Lionheart may still be out there).
Outstanding writing, acting, and directing turn what could have been just another drama about abused prisoners of war into a fable about the futility of all human endeavor. Excellent character studies of the respective commanders, who have a great deal in common despite their wildly different situations and, at least superficially, approaches to problem solving.
