Something in the way she moves...

I am not usually a sucker for 'girly girl' type movies, or 'comedy-romance-feel good' type flicks, but somehow this movie touches me in an odd way. Both Fraser and Going give believable performances in a highly silly, but touching, plot-line about a guy who has a sort of clairvoyance about his future wife and, due to an absurd set of circumstances, sets out to find her. Could Howard Hawks (Bringing Up Baby; The Philadelphia Story) have done better with this idea? Perhaps; but this film does a great job of providing vulnerability on the part of the hard-nosed heroine and the love-struck man. It doesn't seem to hit you over the head with sentimentality. I've watched it 3 or 4 times and haven't yet failed to get a little choked up at certain moments...an overlooked film that deserves some more viewers.

... the stupidest, half-thought-through movie I've ever seen.
And it has a legion of fans, who compare it favorably to The Matrix and praise the coolness of gun-kata, the movie's special form of martial arts using handguns.
Those people are idiots.
