The first film was, I believe, a near-masterpiece. It was a sweeping epic taken from a beloved book (the Lion the Witch & the Wardrobe). Number two in the series, Prince Caspian, was a bit disappointing as it took away some of the more soaring aspects. And this third outing, though an improvement on the previous film, is entertaining without being very impressive.
Underwhelming viewpoint

This is one of my favorite "bad" movies if you will. I don't watch it to be enlightened. I watch it for Godzilla, the ramifications of radiological and scientific screwups, and Jean Reno. My only complaint, after repeated viewings was Big Z was shown. You saw his feet too many times, especially when he first attacks NYC. Just show his feet a couple times. Show his entirety more like the Japanese. That's why he's imposing
Daniel Craig is the best Bond since Connery, and 'Casino' is the best Bond flick since 'From Russia With Love'. (There have been other good ones, but not this good.) I haven't seen 'Quantum of Solace' yet, but given a couple more movies, I think Craig could give Connery a run for the best Bond in history.
The new James Bond kicks #!@%*# and takes names, to be sure. The action sequences are breath-taking in their scope and their execution. I liked the rogue undertones to Bond. Daniel Craig is the perfect Bond for the 21st Century.
Top 10 in Most Quotable Movies Ever Made

However, I've seen this movie about 2o times...but still!
Some will love it, some will hate it. This movie was lost in the 9-11 tragedy, having been released very shortly afterwards, and thus received very little press at the time. It's basically an extenuation of the short, and hilariously funny, bits that Ben Stiller did for the VH1 Fashion Awards in the late 90s...Derek Zoolander, male model, dimwit, and ultimate world-saver. Great "supporting" cast of Owen Wilson, Will Farrell, Christine Taylor (Stiller's real-life wife), and a surprising little cameo by the fashion man himself, David Bowie ("it's a walk-off!")
I would list the quotes, but unless you've seen the flick, they would sound utterly stupid, and you can see them by going online anywhere else. Only just..."Listen to your friend Billy Zane, he's a cool dude"...
Big departure from the cheesy (but enjoyable) Bond films in the past, this is excellent movie and hopefully will be the way Bond films are made from this point on.
