Harry Hamlin is an acceptable hero in this boldly old-fashioned tale. A supporting cast boasting of Laurence Olivier as Zeus, Maggie Smith and Burgess Meredith helps a lot. Yet the real stars are the creature effects provided by stop-motion master Ray Harryhausen, which are often impressive.
While wandering through the rental stacks, spotted LA Law alums in this flick and figured it couldn't be that bad... and boy was I wrong. It was so bad we laughed through the entire movie-- you could see the actors' woe with the bad dialogue. Ed Wood karma?
