I remember seeing this movie when I was a child, but even then I remember being annoyed by Maurice Chevalier's constant mugging and smiling. Was his character really mildly amused by everything little thing that happened in the story, or was Maurice just personally bored with the entire film? Its hard to say. But seeing the film many years later as an adult I still find him annoying. Almost a good film.
