Crude and hysterical sketch-comedy shamelessly lampoons everything about seventies pop-culture; disaster flicks, porno movies, the news, blaxploitation, commercials, kung fu flims and everything in between. The jokes and gags come thick and fast and so do the laughs. Highlights include a mock trailers for films with titles like 'That's Armageddon', a new movie gimmick called 'Feel 'O' Round' and a brilliant 'Enter The Dragon' parody that nearly steals the show. Written by the same team that latter brought us 'Airplane' and directed by John Landis.
I love this movie! The book went into a lot of description along the way - but seemed to drag for me. The movie summed up the struggle that each character faces, while making you ache for them to be together. This is my favorite role for Renee Zellweger.
Jane Austin is modern

This was one of my favorite movies at one time but I found out that the reason I liked it so much was because I was going through a hard time and I felt like I knew how Elizabeth in the movie felt. It spoke to me! Haha. Yes Jane Austin can right the realistic and this movie does her book justice.
I encourage you to watch more of "her" films. There extremely good.
This is a rare case of a very misleading plot summary by the Hound. Duval's and Sutherland's characters are secondary at best. This is the story of a German officer (Caine) punished for defying SS officers rounding up Jews, who is offered a chance to redeem himself and his squad by taking on the mission of killing Churchill. It's a good yarn, nowhere near as good as Sturges' best, but deserves and accurate summary.
