David Gulpilil

Excellent film, but parents might want to watch before they let their offspring do so. Even though the film features a child & 2 teenagers, the subject matter is intense @ times, though not gratuitously so--it's all there for a good reason. Animals are graphically hunted, killed and disemboweled; there are 2 suicides, one a bit graphic, and there's some National Geographic style nudity (Aboriginal people who are mostly nude, but that is/was their cultural norm.) Probably appropriate for teens if watched w. parents and parents are open to discussing the important subjects the movie raises.

I have read mixed reviews on Australia. I saw it as an old fashioned epic. The kind you rarely see made today. Kidman and Jackman are wonderful. Although the scenery and special effects steal the show.
